Chances are when you hear the name Rick Springfield, you automatically think of his biggest hit, the grossly overplayed "Jessie's Girl." This collection of his greatest hits--and yes, he had more than one--is a good overview of his 80's output. Springfield's tunes can be pretty derivitive, but his lyrics can be clever and his arrangements are good, and he can definitely write a hook. Anyone who listened to pop music in the early eighties will remember a lot of this stuff, and although a couple songs sound really dated, most notably the synth-pop (but still kinda cool) "Human Touch", the majority of this CD still holds up pretty well. Slap it on the CD player and relive your youth!
